Stephanie Hurtado was born in New York, NY and proudly carries an Ecuadorian heritage. She received a BS in Chemical Engineering from Missouri University of Science & Technology in Rolla, MO. Currently Stephanie is an Operations Scientist/Engineer I at Baker Hughes – Sand Control Gulf of Mexico Team in Lafayette, Louisiana. Stephanie has been a member of SHPE for 4 yrs and has held 4 leadership positions while in SHPE-St. Louis Professional Chapter: Vice President of Professional Development. As a student she served as (SHPE-Missouri S&T Student Chapter) Vice President and Vice-Regional Student Representative for Midwest Region and “Si Se Puede” Minority High School Recruitment Coordinator. She would like the opportunity to continue contributing to SHPE.
